1990
Following the Turkish invasion of Cyprus, when 38% of the island was occupied, my parents were forcefully uprooted from their homes in the district of Famagusta. They started over again and re-built their lives in Larnaca, where I was born and raised.

In 2006 I was awarded a U.S Fulbright scholarship of excellence to attend a Summer Youth Camp in the United States organised by the U.S government. With a small group of Greek-Cypriots and Turkish-Cypriots, we spent 6 weeks in the U.S discussing on the Cyprus problem and became Ambassadors of Peace.

I have been politically active since the age of 15. During my school years, I held important positions in the Students' Executive Committees including serving as President of Drosia Gymnasium and President of Saint George Lyceum in Larnaca.
In 2008 I was elected President of MA.KI, the pupil's organisation of Democratic Rally (DI.SY).

In 2015 I received my 3rd degree in Law from UCL and concluded my academic studies. I did my master thesis on "Corporate Governance reforms in Europe with special focus on the case of Cyprus". My paper examined the economic collapse of Cyprus as not yet another example of the sovereign debt crisis in Southern Europe but instead focused on the weak corporate governance of the banking system. My thesis was one of the first academic papers written discussing the financial crisis in Cyprus from the above perspective. Awarded with Distinction.

EUROPEAN DEMOCRAT STUDENTS (EDS)
2015-2017
In August 2015, I was elected President of EDS with unanimous support from all the European countries. Before that I served as the First Vice-President.
EDS is a historic European youth organisation and the largest student political organisation in Europe with over 1 million members. EDS is the official student organisation of the European People's Party (EPP), the largest Political Party in Europe holding the Presidency of the European Commission and the European Parliament.
In recognition of my work and achievements I was appointed as the Honorary President of EDS.

In 2015 I was appointed member of the Political Bureau of the Governing Party in Cyprus by the Party President. In 2017, I was appointed to the position of Deputy International Secretary until 2021 when I became the International Secretary of the Party.

In 2017 I passed the national exams and completed the mandatory legal training in Cyprus. Became a double qualified lawyer in Cyprus and the United Kingdom. I currently practice law in Cyprus.
Global Challenges Foundation

I work on a large number of projects in cooperation with European and national policy makers and organisations.
I had the honour to be a member of the jury for the 'New Shape Prize'. The competition launched by the Global Challenges Foundations called for ideas to reshape Global Governance and awarded 5 Million USD to the most distinguished proposals for improving the framework of Global Governance. The competition received over 2,700 entries from 122 countries.
I reviewed and evaluated the legal-political aspect of ideas and proposals submitted by global thinkers, academics, policy-makers and other stakeholders. We subsequently worked on the development and implementation of the winning proposals.

COUNCIL OF EUROPE
ADVISORY COUNCIL ON YOUTH
Since 2018
The Council of Members of the European Youth Forum elected me as a member of the Council of Europe Youth AC. With the beginning of our mandate and following internal elections in March 2018, I received strong support to co-lead the organisation from the position of Vice-President.
The AC is the Council of Europe body deciding on all youth sector matters. It is composed by 30 members from the leaderships of European Political Party Youth Organisations, NGOs and National Youth Councils. The AC is the body deciding on matters concerning the youth, as well as the priorities, expected results and budget allocations for the youth across the Council of Europe Member States.
COMPLETED SECONDARY EDUCATION

I was granted my secondary education diploma from Drosia Gymnasium in Larnaca where I were the school President.
I received many awards for excellence and I achieved the school's highest academic average. Additionally, I achieved important successes in track field sports and as Captain of the school basketball team including winning the district championship.

YOUTH STRATEGY 2030

At the Council of Europe I led the portfolio on the Council of Europe Youth Strategy 2030 which was adopted by the Committee of Ministers in January 2020 and provides the policy guidance and political roadmap for the period 2020-2030.
We look forward to seeing the new youth strategy for the next decade serving as the basis to assist young people to act as powerful catalysts for positive change, shaped with free and democratic thinking and equipped with the knowledge and skills to cope with the increased demands of our modern times.
